ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Thursday has written a letter to Justice (r) Wajeehuddin stating that he is not authorized to call meetings of the tribunal anymore as it has been dissolved.
The letter states that Wheeduddin called illegal meetings of the tribunal on pleas of “characterless” people. Khan has demanded the retired justice to abstain from calling meetings because they are causing damage to the party’s reputation.
Khan stated that he had formed a new tribunal on his recommendation. PTI chairman stated that he is flabbergasted over justice’s calls to hold meetings after Complaint by Shafqat Mehmood.
Earlier, a party notification was issued on March 22 which dissolved the tribunal formed to probe PTI inter-party elections matter.
