KARACHI (Dunya News) – Law enforcement agencies on Thursday arrested a suspect involved in the murder of human rights activist and intellectual Sabeen Mahmud. The suspect has revealed the involvement of foreign elements in the murder along with other important revelations. The suspect stated that Mahmud’s murder was an act to discredit Pakistan’s security institutions. The suspect also stated that the murder was an attempt to benefit Balochistan separatist movement.
According to the sources, law enforcement agency’s action was conducted in Defence and Clifton area of Karachi. The suspect has been shifted to an unknown location for interrogation. Sources also said that the area of interrogation will be further widened after receiving this information from the suspect.
