Summary MQM leaders said MQM will not be able to control demonstrators in case riots erupt

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senior leader Farooq Sattar on Wednesday warned that lingual riots will erupt in Karachi if the water crisis is not curbed, adding that it will not be possible for MQM to stop the people if that happens.

Addressing a press conference at Khursheed Begum Hall at MQM center in Karachi, Farooq Sattar said that water crisis should be resolved instead of going after the wedding halls.

He said that if the situation persists then the reaction of people of Karachi will be even more severe, adding that MQM will not be able to control people.

MQM leader said that they will conduct their own assembly in Sindh Assembly premises if the provincial assembly is unable to give them rights.

The opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan said that K-Electric and Karachi Water Board should resolve their conflicts immediately because people are facing mental stress.

MQM leaders said that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party has given unchecked license to the Sindh government to do whatever they like. They alleged PML-N has done this so that PPP can rescue PML-N from protests in Islamabad.
