Summary The monthly billing is inclusive of sales tax despite court's order, says petitioner's counsel
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday has ordered the Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) Chief Executive (CE) and the federal government to submit reply within one week regarding plea challenging inclusion of sales tax in monthly bills despite court order.
As the hearing started, the petitioner’s counsel said that the court had ordered the company to not charge sales tax to the electricity customers however, they are being charged a particular amount monthly. He urged the court to take legal action against LESCO CE.
The court ordered the authorities to submit reply in one week.
