Summary Interior Minister was briefed on security forces' performance, problems and recommendations
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has on Monday advised all the security agencies to adopt a coherent strategy to meet challenges, reported Dunya News.
Heading a high level meeting on security in Islamabad, Chaudhry Nisar was briefed on security forces’ performance, problems and recommendations to improve their performance. Stressing upon improving cohesion among the security agencies, Interior Minister said that all will have to work together to meet security challenges. He said that the civil security institutions were doing a good job in guarding the life and property of the common people.
Nisar said that he salutes the police officers who embraced martyrdom while performing their duties. He said that he was fully aware of the problems faced by the security agencies. “I consider the expenditure on security as investment in the security. Government has allocated Rs. 30 billion for security this year”, he said.
Expressing complete confidence in the leadership of the civil armed forces, Interior Minister said that the media and the general public must be kept informed about the success achieved by the security institutions.
The meeting was attended by DG Anti-Narcotics, IG FC Balochistan, IG FC Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, DG Rangers Sindh, DG Rangers Punjab, DG Coast Guards, DG Scouts Gilgit-Baltistan, DG Civil Defence and officials of the interior ministry.
