KARACHI (Dunya News) – Speaker Sindh assembly Agha Siraj Durrani has said that the assembly building has serious terror threats about which Director General (DG) Rangers and Inspector General (IG) Sindh have been informed, Dunya News reported.
According to details, prayers were held for social activist Sabeen Mahmud at the start of the session.
Members of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) went through a slight argument when PTI’s Khurram Sher Zaman requested to pray for his party workers who sustained injuries during NA-246 by-poll.
MQM’s Muhammad Hussain said that the assembly cannot pray for unidentified injured people.
Another member of MQM Khawaja Izhar-ul –Hassan stated that his party has won NA-246 elections and he want to talk about this in the assembly.
The speaker replied that he will be allowed to speak but after some time as the session will go on for a long time.
Agha Siraj Durrani also said that Sindh assembly has threats of terrorism about which DG Rangers and IG Sindh have been informed and have assured fool-proof security to the assembly.
On this occasion, opposition leader Sheryar Mehr also demanded security from the assembly.
