Summary Human rights have been breached by not allowing ministers to campaign for the by-polls

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan is a “newborn” and thus he should not conduct politics of vengeance but needs to focus on performance oriented politics.

He expressed these views while talking to the media after casting vote in Defense Walton Cantonment.

He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have learnt lessons from politics of revenge and carved a red-line to mark boundaries of behaviors. Rafique said that the turn-out has been less because the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) did not declare a local holiday and no extension in time.

While answering a question about PTI chairman, he said that Khan attacks democracy while standing on a container whereas PML-N is being tried for the last more than 1.5 years. The federal minister was confident that today PML-N would win by a huge margin.

He said that the human rights have been breached by not allowing ministers to campaign for the by-polls. A ban on utilising government funds and resources should have been imposed instead, he added.
