ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday has finalized a reply to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rigging allegations in General Elections 2013. The reply discards the allegations.

The reply states that PML-N was not involved in rigging however, individual rigging cases have been given verdict over by the tribunals. The reply will be filed in the judicial commission (JC) today.

According to PML-N’s legal team’s member Rafeeq Rajwana, the ruling party was not involved in rigging in the General Elections 2013. The party did not steal the mandate infact it was given the power by the people of the country, he added. He said that PML-N got votes in the elections due to its charter and popularity.

The reply states that PTI leveled rigging allegations against PML-N for the last two years but it withdrew from its agenda when appeared from the JC. PTI retracted and talked about irregularities by the election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), reply states. Only five percent of PTI candidates approached tribunals after losing the elections and verdicts have been given on most of the pleas.
