ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Three-member Judicial Commission (JC) headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Nasir-ul-Mulk has initiated investigation of rigging in General Elections 2013 from today (Thursday), Dunya News reported.

Besides Chief Justice the JC also comprises of Justice Ameer Hani Muslim and Justice Aijaz Afzal Khan.

The meeting of JC is being conducted in open court.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan presented himself before the commission.

In the first meeting of JC on April 9, all the political parties were directed to submit rigging proofs and appeals till April 15.

On the other hand, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has also decided to appear before the JC whreas Farooq Sattar has also written a letter to CJ Nasir-ul-Mulk in which it has been written that despite MQM’s reservations on JC formation, the party still wants to give its stance on election rigging.
