KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh High Court (SHC) has summoned Secretary Irrigation on a petition filed against the allotment of Rs60 crore contracts to relatives in Irrigation Department, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, the hearing was attended by additional Advocate General and officials of Irrigation Department.
The petitioner Kamran Jalbani adopted the stance that the rights holders are being deprived of contracts by allotting them to officials’ relatives and those who are favourites.
The court asked the officials about the investment of Rs60 crore on which no response came from them.
The court expressed displeasure and issued notice to summon secretary of Irrigation department.
