ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday has said that the party opposed Defense Minister Khawaja Asif’s behavior and urged the government to direct Finance Minister present the Yemen conflict resolution.
He expressed these views while talking to the media after the Parliament session was over in the capital.
He said that the government deemed PTI’s demand appropriate and accepted that Asif’s behavior was unethical.
Qureshi said that passing of a unanimous resolution on Yemen conflict is a great victory of the Nation. He said that PTI demanded the government to direct Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to put forth the resolution in the Parliament instead of Asif.
Earlier, Asif has criticised PTI for returning to the same Parliament which they referred to as fake and corrupt for more than seven months. He said that PTI should not be allowed to sit-in the Parliament. He demanded the National Assembly (NA) Speaker to clarify the position of their resignations. To defend the honour of the Parliament is my right, he added.
