Judges’ detention case: ATC adjourns hearing till April 24

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The anti-terrorist court in Islamabad on Friday adjourned the hearing of judges  detention case against former military ruler Pervez Musharraf till April 24 after accepting the plea of exemption from appearing before the court, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the hearing was held by ATC judge Sohail Akram.

While submitting Musharraf’s medical report in the court, his counsel stated that his client cannot attend the hearing due to ailment whereas public prosecutor Amir Nadeem Tabish argued that Musharraf has made a practice of not appearing in the court therefore; the court should immediately summon him.

The court accepted the exemption plea after the parties concluded their arguments and subsequently postponed the hearing till April 24.
