LAHORE (Dunya News) – The electricity shortfall maintains at 3,500 Mega watts (MW) whereas the rains in the country could not decrease the hours-long outages.
The electricity demand is 12,800 MW which at least 14 days ago was more that 14,000 MW. While the electricity production maintains at 9,300 MW.
At least seven-hour long power outages are being conducted in urban while ten-hour long in rural areas.
Moreover, unannounced outages are also continuing in addition to these durations. According to the authorities, the hydel power production is decreasing as the water stored in Mangla and Tarbela dams is being used for agricultural purposes.
