ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has called a high-level meeting on the Yemen Crisis on Thursday. Khawaja Asif and Sartaj Aziz will brief the meeting on Saudi Arabia tour, reported Dunya News.
According to sources, PM Nawaz Sharif will preside over a high-level meeting on Yemen crisis which will be attended by the chiefs of the services.
The sources added that the issue of Pakistan’s compliance to Saudi Arabia’s request for cooperation will also be discussed during the meeting in addition to issues of evacuation of Pakistanis from Yemen and sending Pakistan Army.
The issue of calling an All-Parties Conference (APC) is also expected to be deliberated upon during Thursday’s meeting.
The PM is also expected to brief the meeting on his tour to Turkey.
According to sources, in the first phase of his tour, PM will meet Turkish leadership and will take them into confidence regarding Pakistan’s foreign policy, endeavoring to align the course of actions of both countries.
The sources added that Pakistan will try to take Muslim countries on board however it will try to solve the Yemen crisis by diplomacy.
The government sources said Pakistan’s role in Islamic world will bring positive results to the situation adding that the PM had cancelled his plans for upcoming 3 days.
