ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal on Monday has said that Pakistan is not going to participate in the Saudi-led offensive against Yemen rebels however, the government would respond if Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity is challenged.

He expressed these views while talking to the media after attending a ceremony in the capital.

He said that Pakistan would not compromise over internal political instability. He said that safe return of expatriates from Yemen is the government’s top priority.

While answering a question, Iqbal said that a letter was dispatched to the Supreme Court (SC) even before the D-Chowk sit-in. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan expressed cheerfulness over the attack on state-owned television headquarters. He urged Khan to police PTI workers.

The minister said that Khan could not prove rigging in the General elections 2013 that is why he is complicating the matte of judicial commission. Khan wants to halt foreign investment in the country, he added.

While answering a question about Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), he said that the government is not targeting one specific party however, any party carrying out politics of weapons would attract legal action against it.
