ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Members of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) raised slogans and protested strongly in the National Assembly (NA) today (Friday) against the raid on nine-zero, revelations made by Saulat Mirza and case on MQM chief Altaf Hussain, Dunya News reported.
While talking in the NA, MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that operations are being conducted against MQM while suspending the political activities whereas it seems that MQM is being removed from the scene under the guise of eliminating criminal elements.
Farooq Sattar demanded answer from interior ministry to tell whether all this is happening for the rule of law and peace in Karachi or the MQM is being put to test whereas if this is some sort of trial then MQM shall pass it too.
He stated that taking statements of a death row convict in a death cell is a unique event in the history.
He asked the interior ministry that does the law permits to take statements of a death row convict before five hours of his execution and whether the statements were taken by the permission of interior ministry.

Speaker NA asked the enraged MQM members to show patience and warned the MQM members that they are setting a terrible precedent by reacting in such a way in the NA.
