ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) on Thursday has rejected the petition seeking adjournment of holding of Senate Election 2015 in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). He said that the government and the ministers have made a mockery of FATA elections.

According to the details, CEC Sardar Raza Khan held hearing of the petition submitted by former senator Abbas Khan Afridi to halt holding to elections in FATA. The CEC reprimanded the petitioner’s counsel and said that the government and the ministers have made a mockery of the elections.

After as many as 13 years, the petitioner is saying that the presidential ordinance is unconstitutional, he added. The CEC said that the petition does not declare a second party. He ordered the petitioner’s counsel to advise his client to declare a second party and then hearing would be held in next week.
