KARACHI (Dunya News) – The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday has approved Karachi Electric’s (K-Electric) summary of increase in power tariff by Rs 0.81 per unit.

According to the NEPRA, the revised tariff is applicable on the K-Electric customers. The prices have been increased in wake of fuel adjustment. Moreover, the new tariff is not applicable on the customers who use at least 50 units every month.

Earlier, K-Electric had forwarded a summary to the NEPRA after the purchasing cost of the manufacturing fuel increased by more than Rs 81 crore in January 2015.
