Summary Police arrested 9 suspects; 3 groups were involved in terrorist attack, says Home Minister Punjab
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Punjab’s Home Minister Shuja Khanzada has on Thursday said that critical headways have been made into the Qila Gujjar Sindh suicide attack investigations. Khanzada has informed that nine suspects involved in terrorists’ assistance have so far been arrested and all belong to Lahore.
Home Minister informed that the suspects were interrogated and it has been revealed that three different groups were involved in carrying out the attack. One of the group belonged to Lahore while the other two were active in South Punjab.
Shuja Khanzada said that the investigations were being expanded further in view of the revelations made by the suspects.
It is pertinent to mention here that the attack was carried out on 17th of February, 2015, in front of the District Police Lines located in Qila Gujjar Singh area of Lahore and claimed six lives, injuring several others.
