Summary The weapon seized from Nine-Zero was not to be used as crackers on Shab-e-Baraat, he said
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that the weapon and ammunition seized from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) center was not there to be used on as crackers on Shab-e-Baraat, adding that the law has to be equal for everyone, Dunya News reported.
Khan was talking exclusively to Dunya News’ show On The Front with Kamran Shahid. He alleged that MQM chief gets people killed in Pakistan while sitting in London.
PTI chief asked if military courts are created for terrorists then what about ‘other terrorists’.
Earlier, he said that the search and siege operation by Rangers at MQM headquarters Nine-Zero is ‘admirable’. He said that the people of Karachi would feel liberated by Rangers action.
He expressed these views while talking to the media.
He urged the government to establish military courts in Karachi to free the people from ‘suppression’. Khan said that nobody is willing to testify against MQM in courts because people care for their lives. He said that the Rangers should have conducted an operation sooner.
PTI chairman said that MQM would now be free of Altaf Hussain’s ‘tyranny’. Had the Rangers found illegal weapons from PTI’s office, the party would have been banned, he added.
