Summary DG Rangers briefed Naveed Mukhtar about the progress in the ongoing operation
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Corps Commander Karachi Lt General Naveed Mukhtar on Thursday has directed the Rangers to continue operation against criminals and militants in the city.
He issued these directions during his visit to Rangers headquarters.
According to the details, Director General (DG) Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar briefed the Corps Commander about the ongoing operation in the city. He informed the Corps Commander about the weapons seized and criminals arrested during the operation so far. Akbar also showed the weapons seized by the Rangers from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine-Zero on March 11. These include at least five G-3s, as many as 23 Sub machine guns (SMGs) and Light machine guns (LMGs) and at least two bullet proof jackets along with other weaponry.
However, the Rangers has handed over the weapons seized from Nine-Zero to the police. Mukhtar admired the security force’s performance to limit the crime rate in Karachi. He also directed DG Rangers to indiscriminately continue operation against terrorists and other criminals.
