Summary PM says govt serious in efforts to end terrorism, providing funds to improve PAF, Navy capability
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has met the heads of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Navy on Tuesday and has said that the government is providing whatever funds are required to improve the capability of PAF and Navy to fight terrorism, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, PM Nawaz Sharif separately met PAF head Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt Pakistan Navy head Admiral Zakaullah in Islamabad. The prime minister discussed professional matters with the heads of PAF and Navy.
Talking to Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, PM praised the role played by the air force in Operation Zarb-e-Azb. “PAF is playing the key role in elimination of terrorism from Pakistan”, he said. He said that the recent inclusion of high tech and latest weapons will help improve the abilities of the armed forces.
In a statement issued from PM House, the meeting examined the PAF issues. PAF head thanked the prime minister for his interest in the matters related to Pakistan Air Force.
