Economic partnership with US will steer country towards progress: PM

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif on Monday has said that the economic partnership between Pakistan and United States (US) would open more gates to progress.
He expressed these views while addressing the participants of the US-Pakistan economic partnership ceremony.

He said that both the countries are working for global peace for at least 68 years. Both the countries have vowed to strengthen trade and economic relations. Earlier, at the inaugural ceremony of Multan International Airport the PM said that the political leadership of the country is united to root out terrorism and extremism. He said that elimination of terrorism is important if Pakistan has to be counted among developed countries of the world.

PM Nawaz said that Multan is being connected to all the major parts of the country through motorways. The government is taking measures for infrastructural development of the city. Developmental projects are ongoing in the city including kidney centre and burn unit in the Nishtar Hospital.

Former PM Yousaf Raza Gillani also participated in the inaugural ceremony along with others.
