LAHORE (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday have congratulated Pakistani cricket team on victory against South Africa in International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2015.
The President has expressed hope that the team would continue series of its success in the mega event. PM Nawaz congratulated the team and the entire nation on its victory against South Africa. He said that the entire nation is eyeing the World Cup trophy. The PM said that Sarfraz Ahmed played a vital role in the country’s win.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari also congratulated the green shirts. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said that they pray for the Misbah eleven that they bring home the trophy like the World Cup 1992. The Pakistani team needed a win against a tougher side, he added.
Opposition leader in the National Assembly (NA) Khurshid Shah congratulated Misbah eleven on the win. Muttahdia Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain admired the players’ performances against South Africa.
