LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday declared the petition seeking action against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif under Article 6 pertaining to the Youth Loan Scheme case admissible and issued notices to federal government, Director General (DG) Immigration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Inspector General (IG) Punjab.

Bench comprising Justice Ameenuddin and Justice Sohail Iqbal Bhatti heard the case. Petitioner’s lawyer stated that the notification issued by PM Nawaz for the appointment Maryam Nawaz as chairperson Youth Loan Scheme was unconstitutional. He further said that Maryam Nawaz’s name as per her CNIC and passport was Maryam Safdar whereas the notification issued was penned as Maryam Nawaz. Petitioner, therefore, pleaded the court to take action against the PM under Article 6.

The court admitted the case for hearing and summoned a response from both parties by May 20.
