Summary Rana Mashhood says problems with the examinations arose because of extended winter vacations
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Education Minister Punjab Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan on Saturday has confessed that the delay in middle examinations in the province was already expected. He said that the problems with the examinations arose due to extended winter vacations, Dunya News reported.
According to the details, Middle examinations that had to start today throughout the province could not be started at various examination centers. Version 4 paper was delivered at various examination centers instead of Version 6 paper.
However, holding a press conference in Lahore, Rana Mashhood praised the education department instead of admitting the mistake. He said that 12000 examination centers were established for 2.2 million students and examinations were held in accordance with the international standards. He said that the papers were delivered the next day instead of delivering them late, in order to keep secrecy. “We knew that the paper will start with a delay but keeping secrecy was also vital”, he said.
Praising the Secretary Education Schools and Chief Executive of the Commission, Rana Mashhood said that an excellent examination system was established. He said that investigations were being undertaken on the issues that were faced during the primary exams.
