Summary All the Pakistani SIMs being used in Afghanistan would be deactivated, says PTA chairman

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) on Friday has issued directives to the network service providers to urge the customers through SMS to get their SIMs registered.

According to the PTA chairman, all the network service providers will urge the customers to get their SIMs registered as soon as possible. He said that suspicious SIMs would be blocked in the first phase of action. The SIMs owned by the handicaps would be registered using their original National Identity Card.

He also said that all the Pakistani SIMs being used in Afghanistan would be deactivated. He further said that the SIMs being used in foreign countries through roaming also require biometric verification.
