ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The consultation process to stop ‘horse trading’ in Senate election is underway as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday conditioned the participation in parliamentary session, over Senate election on formation of judicial commission to probe alleged rigging in general elections 2013. Federal Finance Minister said a ‘good news’ is expected tomorrow (Friday), Dunya News reported.
According to the details, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has invited parliamentary leaders to meet over 22nd Amendment. Ishaq Dar met PTI leader Jehangir Tareen for consultation today (Thursday). Both leaders exchanged views over preventing ‘horse trading’ in upper house’s elections.
The finance minister invited PTI to participate in parliamentary leaders’ meeting with Prime Minister; however, Tareen said that he can respond to the invitation only after consultation with the party. He said that party can participate in the meeting without any delay if the government forms the judicial commission as demanded by PTI to probe alleged rigging in general elections 2013.
Responding to Tareen’s demand, Dar said the nation will be given ‘good news’ tomorrow.
