KARACHI (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the ninth Pakistan Expo Exhibition 2015 today (Thursday), Dunya News reported.
At least 1000 delegates from 70 countries are participating in the Pakistan Expo Exhibition 2015.
While addressing the delegates PM said that Pakistan Expo Exhibition is a sign of our industrial culture whereas it has drawn numerous international investors as the number has grown in the current exhibition as compared to the previous one.
He expressed that Pakistan is producing high quality products and services which are recognized at the international level whereas the government has also formed a framework to ensure continuation of trade and industrial policy in Pakistan.
While talking about the imports he said that the government is working to enhance the imports from 25 billion dollars to 50 billion dollars in the next three years whereas under the new textile policy, textile related products will be raised to 26 billion dollars by 2019 from the current 13 billion dollars.
The PM stressed that economic prosperity and peace stability within the country are included in the top priorities of the government whereas the government will provide all possible facilities to the investors in order to achieve their objective.
The PM also vowed to end the energy crisis in the country in the next three years as Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) based power plants will be setup with the contribution of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) providing cheap electricity to consumers.
Commenting on the law and order situation in the country he stated that government is pursuing the right course to overcome the problem as concrete decisions such as launch of Zarb-e-Azab and Karachi operations have been taken to ensure peace in the country. He said the National Action Plan (NAP) on countering terrorism is a national document and it will be implemented in high spirit.
Moreover, the PM also stated that Karachi will be made a peaceful city in the next four years by eliminating the militant elements in the metropolis.
