Summary Gunmen started firing indiscriminately at the car near Kuch Banda on Indus Highway.
KARAK (Dunya news) – A firing incident on a car killed 5 people in Karak and critically wounded one on Thursday. Families of the murdered place the dead bodies on Indus Highway and protested against the killing. Traffic was also blocked during the protest. According to the police a person named Mumtaz was going home along with his relatives after being released from jail. Gunmen started firing indiscriminately at the car near Kuch Banda on Indus Highway. 2 people were killed at the spot. 3 of the wounded were shifted to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries.
The dead include Mumtaz Khan, Sher Afzal, Noor Bayan, Hassan Khan and Munawar Khan. Police have stated that the incident of firing was a result of a longstanding rivalry.
