KARACHI (Dunya News) -- A 6 member committee was formed on Wednesday for the blast that occurred in Shikarpur. The committee was established on demands of the Shuhada Committee. A protest was held near Numaish Chowrangi against the attack in Shikarpur. In order to stop the protestors from marching to Chief Minister (CM) house, the protestors were invited for dialogue to CM house. CM Sindh Sharjeel Memon and Director General (DG) Rangers also attended the meeting.
According to the details, a 6-man committee was formed comprising of members from government and shuhada delegation during the meeting. The government team was led by Sharjeel Memon while the Shuhada committee was headed by Masood Domki.
During the meeting, Chief Minister and DG Rangers assured the delegation of speeding up the hunt for target killers and curbing the attacks on sacred places such as Imam Bargahs.
Responding to a query on the Army operation in Sindh, the officials said that it was a matter of Federal jurisdiction.
It is expected that the protest will be called off soon as government conceded to the demands of the Shuhada committee.
