SHIKARPUR (Dunya News) – Participants of long march against Shikarpur carnage reached Numaish Chowrangi at MA Jinnah Road on Wednesday despite the imposition of Article 144 in Red zone.

Maqsood Domki of Shikarpur Shuhada Committee said they open to negotiations only with the people who hold authority. The committee will soon announce their future strategy, he added.
Sindh government, on the other hand, has imposed ban on staging protests and rallies in Red zone under Article 144 whereas routes leading to CM House have been sealed with containers and obstructions in the wake of security threats.
Dr Ziauddin Road directed towards CM House has been blocked and police have diverted the traffic to an alternative route.
Earlier, victims’ families also staged protest outside the Sukkur Press Club and announced to protest against Sindh government.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Immamia Students Organization and ASO along with a large number of women and children attended the long march.
While talking to the participants of the rally, Allama Ameen Shaheed and Allama Maqsood Domki stated that the government has failed to take nab the culprits of Shikarpur tragedy.
They further urged the Sindh government to take strict action and arrest the culprits.
A least 54 people were killed and 50 others injured as explosion hit an imambargah in Shikarpur district of Sindh, around 470 kilometres (300 miles) north of Karachi. According to police, the explosion took place inside an imambargah in Lakhi Dar area during Friday prayers.
