ISLAMABAD (Dunya news) – Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Usman Yousaf on Monday informed that the Election Commission has decided to include 7.8 million new voters in electoral lists. After entering the new voters, the total number of registered voters in the country will rise to 94 million. Yousaf also informed that 1.2 million new voters have been included in electoral lists from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Chairman NADRA stated that people of Punjab and Sindh will be made part of the electoral lists after defining the constituencies.


Chairman NADRA informed of these developments while briefing a meeting of Election Comission.


According to the details, the important meeting of Election Commission was presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza. A framework regarding new registered voters was formulated in the meeting.
