Summary Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting at Governor House in Karachi.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that failure in the war against terrorism is not the option and we have to eliminate the scourge of terrorism for all times to come.
The Prime Minister gave these remarks while addressing a meeting of the Apex Committee of Sindh in Karachi to review implementation of the National Action Plan against terrorism.
“People of Pakistan expect tangible results from the National Action Plan,” Nawaz Sharif said.
He said the NAP has not been prepared by just a single party but had endorsement of all the political parties of the country.
The premier said two points out of twenty point agenda have been implemented immediately in the shape of passage of 21st Constitutional Amendment and amendment in Army Cct for setting up special trial courts.
He said interrogation matters regarding Baldia Town incident also came under discussion.
It is a very serious issue, he added.
PM MEETS ZARDARI
Earlier today, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former President Asif Ali Zardari held a one-on-one meeting at Governor House. They discussed law and order situation in Sindh and matters of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister invited Asif Ali Zardari to attend the high-level meeting regarding law and order situation.
MEETING WITH ARMY CHIEF
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also held a meeting with Army Chief General Raheel Sharif at Corps Headquarters in Karachi today.
Corps Commander and DG ISI were also present in the meeting.
