ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Fight between Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has just gone international as it reached United States of America (USA) and United Kingdom (UK) too. While MQM wrote a letter to US ambassador in Pakistan against Chairman PTI Imran Khan, the PTI wrote a letter to UK against MQM chief Altaf Hussain on Tuesday. MQM and PTI also held protests against each other in various cities, reported Dunya News.

The war of words between PTI and MQM just got intensified as PTI Spokesperson Shireen Mazari wrote a letter to the British High Commissioner against Altaf Hussain. The letter stated that Altaf Hussain was a British citizen and was inciting violence in Pakistan while staying in Britain. PTI has accused MQM of being involved in extortion, black-mailing and murders in Karachi in its letter. It has also been stated in the letter that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on Baldia Town incident has provided proofs of MQM’s involvement in the incident that took away 258 lives.

On the other hand, MQM Senator Babar Ghauri wrote a letter to the American ambassador immediately after PTI’s letter to British High Commission. MQM’s letter has demanded action against Imran Khan acting upon the American court’s decision in Tyrian White case. It has also demanded action against Imran Khan for defying US court’s decision.

Workers of both the parties also took to roads after the war of words between the parties’ leaders heated up. PTI workers blocked the Express Way by torching the tyres in Islamabad. In Gujrat, PTI workers held a protest rally and set Altaf Hussain’s dummies on fire.

Meanwhile, MQM workers protested in Lahore and set Imran Khan’s dummies on fire. Party workers staged protest in Multan as well.
