Summary Both leaders agreed to continue consultation for mutual benefits

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday called Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Both leaders discussed the upcoming Senate elections, Dunya News reported.

Zardari and Shujaat exchanged views over possible cooperation in Senate elections in Punjab and Balochistan. PML-Q is rooting for Ch Shujaat to contest the Senate election from Punjab and therefore is seeking PPP’s support; whereas PPP is hoping to get Sabir Baloch re-elected as Deputy Chairman Senate from Balochistan and is expecting support from allies.

The senior leadership of both parties agreed to continue further consultation for mutual benefits of both the parties.
