Summary Project Director Shahid Iqbal assured that the plantation of new trees is underway.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has uprooted dozens of decades old historical trees around the sewage drain passing through the Bagh-e-Jinnah in Lahore, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
According to Project Director Jinnah Park Shahid Iqbal, only 10 trees have been cut after the issuance of No Objection Certificate (NOC).
He further stated that the action was necessary for drainage purpose whereas the plantation of new trees is underway.
