ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Local administration and police authorities have commenced the process of removal of encroachments and barriers set up in the name of security in residential areas of the capital, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
While hearing the CDA encroachment case, a two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Jawad S Khawaja gave five-day deadline for removal of the barriers from the streets and roads that were erected by private offices and different embassies.
The apex court had directed Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal to remove all the illegal barriers and shift foreign embassies from residential areas to diplomatic enclave.
