KARACHI (Dunya News) – Blast under the flyover near Deputy Commissioner West’s office in S.I.T.E area Karachi got two passersby minimally injured on Tuesday.
According to the police, the bomb planted under the flyover exploded at a place where Rangers’ mobile was usually deployed. Rangers’ officers, however, were not present at the time of explosion and therefore remained safe.
Ball bearings employed in the bomb damaged the main door of DC’s office.
Rangers and police reached the site soon after the explosion and summoned the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) while taking the ball bearings and parts of the bomb in custody.
BDS told that 600 gram explosive was placed in a 2.5 kilogram block.
