Summary Opposition leader said that imposing taxes on petrol repeatedly was unfair to the public
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has said that he will raise the issue of taxes on petrol in National Assembly. “Imposing taxes on petrol time and again is unfair to the public”, he said.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Khurshid Shah said that there is no petrol, gas and electricity in Pakistan but the government is continuously imposing new taxes, reported Dunya News. He said that government should not fool the people by giving people the benefit from one hand and taking it back from the other.
“Is the government there only to impose new taxes?” questioned Shah. He said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) will not let the injustice to continue and will make the government accountable in the National Assembly.
