QUETTA (Dunya News) – The issue of mayorship of Quetta city is still unresolved despite the intervention of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif as the allies present in Balochistan’s coalition government were unable to reach any decision in this regard, Dunya News reported on Saturday.
As per details, by-elections in Balochistan has entered into its last phase leaving only four days to submit nominations for the post of mayor and deputy mayor.
A meeting of allies was held in Quetta which was chaired by PM Nawaz to resolve the issue of Quetta mayorship.
During a meeting, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders stated that the posts of governorship and chief ministry have already been possessed by allies so the mayorship should be given to PML-N.
Moreover, the mayorship case was suspended without any decision until the next meeting.
