Ghazi murder case: Musharraf's plea for exemption from appearance dismissed

Summary Musharraf's lawyer said the case is sub judice in SC so it should not be heard.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Additional Session Judge in Islamabad on Wednesday dismissed former President Pervez Musharraf’s plea of exemption from court appearance and summoned him to appear before the court on February 4.

Additional Session Judge Wajid Ali heard the case proceedings of Maulana Abdul Rasheed’s murder. During the hearing Musharraf’s lawyer, Akhter Shah, argued over the jurisdiction of the court stating that the case is sub judice in the Supreme Court it therefore should not be heard.

The court dismissed Musharraf’s plea to exempt him from appearing for the case proceedings and adjourned the hearing.
