SC rejects contempt of court application against CM Punjab

Summary Contempt of court application against CM Punjab was filed by Lt. Col. Retd. Tariq Kamaal.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) dismissed a contempt of court petition filed against Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shahbaz Sharif today (Tuesday).

According to details, a contempt of court application against CM Punjab was filed by Lt. Col. Retd. Tariq Kamaal which was heard by two-member bench presided over by Justice Saqib Nisar.

During a hearing, petitioner argued that Punjab government assured the court to build dam whereas no implementation has been observed over this decision until now.

The court, on which remarked that it’s a matter of provincial government and the court and rebuffed to file any case as claimant has not been affected by this case.
