Summary No member could be restrained from the job until his election is declared illegal, says the CEC
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday has turned down the application of Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi against Sindh Minister for Finance Murad Ali Shah which questioned his ineligibility.
According to the details, a meeting headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice Sardar Raza held hearing of the application against Sindh Minister for Finance. Shah’s counsel Farooq H Naik told the meeting that his client had discarded the Canadian nationality on July 2013. The CEC said that the ECP would hold hearing of the case after the Sindh High Court (SHC) gives verdict over the application.
He said that no member could be restrained from the job until his election is declared illegal.
