According to the details, as many as 40 Edhi ambulances function within Lahore while at least 35 out of them have been grounded following the severe shortage of petrol in the country. According to the Edhi spokesperson, they are trying to get petrol to resume their welfare services for the people of the city.
Edhi Foundation Pakistan is a welfare institution which was established by famous social personality Abdul Sattar Edhi in 1951. The foundation offers 24/7 emergency service besides several other services.
Edhi Foundation has a total of 600 ambulances which provide services in the entire country. Moreover, this foundation is the biggest welfare organisation of the country with at least 300 centres in the country.
