Steps being taken to deal with energy crisis, terrorism: PM Nawaz

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – In a meeting with a delegation of traders in Islamabad on Wednesday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif stated that the country faces serious challenges of energy crisis and terrorism.

“Steps are being taken on war a footing to address them,” he said.

The Prime Minister said the government is taking steps to facilitate businessmen and industrialists with an aim to strengthen the economy.

He said construction of basic infrastructure is foremost priority of government, adding that work on the Lahore-Karachi motorway will begin soon. Funds worth Rs55 billion have been released for the project.

PM Nawaz said that those elements who spread hatred and sectarianism would be tried in the military courts.

These military courts have been established by a democratic government, he added.

He said swift justice is vital to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
