Summary Parents berated Imran Khan for getting married at a time when the nation was mourning.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Bereaved parents chanted  go Imran go  slogans as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and his wife Reham Khan visited the Army Public School in Peshawar, where over 130 students were massacred by Taliban gunmen on December 16.

The family members of the children slammed Imran for "forgetting the ordeal of the martyred families" and choosing to marry at a time when the nation was mourning one of its worst terrorist attacks ever.

The parents also accused Imran of politicising the death of their children. They said that it took Imran so many days to realise that he should visit the school "with press reporters to showcase his fake prayers and condolences."

Father of an other martyr child said Imran Khan s party does not deserve to govern the province. Reportedly, Khan arrived at school with 32-vehicle convoy.

On the contrary, students in green uniforms warmly welcomed the PTI chief at APS.

PTI also posted a Tweet on official account quoting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister:

Meanwhile, PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari clarified that Khan was advised to postpone his visit to the school on January 12 due to security reasons.

She further demanded KP police to take action against those policemen who used force against the protesting parents.

After the visit, the PTI chief left for CM House where he held a meeting with cabinet members. Khan is expected hold a press conference at 3:00pm today.
