Summary If we also joined 'Niazi' on container, system would have broken down, says co-chairman PPP

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Co-Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has on Sunday said that he and his party saved the future generations of Pakistan by supporting military courts, Dunya News reported. He said that had he also joined ‘Niazi’ on container, the system would have broken down.

Addressing the PPP district and divisional office-bearers, Asif Zardari said that PPP is anti-terrorism. “Terrorists have targeted armed forces, kids of the nation and other institutions”, he said.

Former President was advised by the PPP workers to hold public meetings in all districts of Punjab. Zardari responded by saying that the political and weather conditions did not favor such actions right now but a big public meeting will be held in Punjab as soon as the situation gets better.

Asif Zardari clarified that whatever he did was in the interest of democracy. He said that the system would have broken down if he also joined ‘Niazi’ on container.
