Summary Religious parties, govt should sit together and resolve differences, says former Interior Minister
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Former Interior Minister of Pakistan Senator Rehman Malik has said that India is involved in terrorism in Pakistan, Dunya News reported on Sunday. He said that India is involved in Pakistan terrorism. Malik said that instead of fighting each other on petty issues, the government and religious parties should sit together and resolve their differences.
Addressing a news conference in Bahria Town, Lahore, Rehman Malik said that talks are the only way to resolve national crises. He said that the government and religious parties should look for middle ground on the question of 21st amendment and instead of targeting the religious institutions directly, only the elements supporting terrorism should be held accountable. “Maulana Fazlur Rehman will also support if his reservations are dealt with”, he said.
Rehman Malik said that ISIS is acting in a much planned manner to incite Shia-Sunni clashes in Pakistan. He admitted that an agreement has not yet been reached by government and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) so political anarchy still remained.
Malik said that no member of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was in favor of military courts but had to accept it in national interest for two years. He said that India is involved in Pakistan terrorism. “Indian prime minister and Afghan president should play their roles in promoting peace in the region”, he said.
