ISLAMABAD (Daily Dunya) – While rejecting India’s allegations of ceasefire violations, Pakistan Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam on Thursday said that Pakistan doesn’t need a certificate from India for steps taken to tackle terrorism.

Ms Aslam said in a press briefing that Pakistan cannot tolerate India’s unprovoked firing at the working boundary at the time when Pakistan is busy fighting terror. She said that no Pakistani boat is missing and that India’s boat story is being questioned even in India.

She said US Secretary of State John Kerry will visit Pakistan soon but no dates are decided yet.

The spokeswoman said that a new phase of strategic dialogue between Pakistan and United States will begin and matters of mutual interests will be discussed.

Talking about India’s violations at the working boundary, Ms Aslam said that Pakistan has strongly protested against Indian violation of the ceasefire and has even summoned Indian High Commissioner.

She said Sartaj Aziz has even written to Indian foreign minister, adding that India is targeting innocent civilians.

Foreign Office spokeswoman said that Pakistan has rejected Indian allegations and that it doesn’t need India’s certificate.

She said Pakistan’s sacrifices in war against terrorism are acknowledged by the international community especially after the Zarb-e-Azb operation against terrorists in North Waziristan.
